I hit my 5am workout this morning with the bestie. Always good times. It helps me get the day started.
I managed to get more done during my morning-before school routine today. Making beds, cooking breakfast, dishes, laundry, getting the boys cleaned up and changed for school, packing lunch for GQ and sometimes Papa......I don't usually accomplish all of that in totality. I did this morning. Whew!
To be totally honest and give credit where credit is due....I had help today.
Left Brain made the lunches while I was preparing breakfast. He's a rockstar like that!
Then Blue Eyes and I made the 30 mile trek to take GQ to school. Yeah, that's a whole other topic. I know what you're thinking...."Really?!?! It can't be 30 miles." If it isn't 30 miles, it's awfully close......it takes 25-30 minutes for me to get to his school from our house. Ridiculous, I know. Especially since there is another school from the same county right down the road from our house. But, we'll talk about that later.
When we returned home I was able to do another load of dishes and laundry. You see, that 30 mile trek is two ways.....it takes an hour, round trip. Laundry and dishes were done by the time I returned home and ready for round 2. Kinda nice, huh?!
Then I was able to hop in the shower and wash my stinky self.
I never have time for this before taking GQ to school. Especially on Monday or Wednesday mornings when both boys go to school. That's twice the "I must be presentable faces" to clean and bookbags to pack. Then, twice the drop-offs.
I must admit....I popped in a movie for Blue Eyes and took a little mommy time. A little longer in the hot shower than usual....sometimes it's just what a gal needs.
Now I'm catching up on emails and blogging while the third load of laundry is in the washing machine this morning.
Like I said......productive this morning. And it's only 10am.
Imagine what I could do with the rest of the day.......nah, I think I might rest a while.
hey nikki. congrats on the 2 beautiful boys. look forward to keeping up with what you have to say.... :)
