I love the idea of Thanksgiving.....but I always dread this time of year! Left Brain has a very large family, and my family......not large.....but they've all divorced and remarried.....oh and they all hate one another. It makes Thanksgiving hard because we have so many different places to visit that it takes all of the "thankfulness" out of it. This one doesn't want to eat dinner with that one, so they all have their own. It's horrible!
This year I opted to say, "no" a couple of times. There were some places that we just didn't visit. It was one thing to visit everywhere and spend the whole day driving from place to place when it was just Left Brain and I. But now that there are two precious little boys in the mix....I just can't do that to them. It's exhausting!
Ok, enough of the negative.
The boys really had fun this year because they got to see all of their cousins....even the ones from Alabama.
Well, you all know that I have been missing Lola for a while now, and arguing with Left Brain about the proper time to get out the Christmas decorations. Well, she has made her debut!
Thank goodness!I also got a new wreath for the front door.
This is my favorite part.... I don't know why I love this photo so much, but I do. (shrug).
Anyway, I decided to put up the Christmas decorations on Thanksgiving night. It makes my heart happy. I have a scent warmer with the smell of cinnamon circulating throughout my little cracker box house...holiday music playing........
did I mention that when we built our house I painted the main room red and called it the "christmas room". That's how much I love CHRISTMAS! I painted my house red so that it would look better at Christmas time!
I'll quit rambling now....ya'll have a good Christmas....ya hear?!?!
