In October 2009, Left Brain and I ventured to Ukraine to start our family. We adopted two precious little boys. We are currently wanting to expand our family by 2 more! We're looking into adoption again. Read along, see where our journeys take us.

What a weekend!

Well....we survived! That's about all I have to say about that!
Let's start Friday morning, around 5:30am when the boys got up and we started breakfast and getting ready for school....
Left Brain took a day off of work on Friday to help me prepare for the Lock-In for our youth group at church. He kept Miles that morning while I speedily cleaned our house (for I knew Saturday cleaning was out of the question). And that afternoon I helped him with the "finishings up" of the Lock-In preparations. We had planned a naptime for ourselves, but didn't get to it before the Lock-In started at 7pm Friday night.
I must say that we had a blast with the youth group Friday night....until about 3am, then it was just misery trying to stay awake. I left and went home to catch a few hours of sleep. I knew that Saturday morning our boys would come home hyper after having been with Bebe all night. Thankfully they were tired too...and we all took about a 3 hour nap! YAY!
So, not much sleep from Friday to Saturday. We decided that we needed to push through the tiredness and get done what needed to be done, so we would sleep better that night.

Side Note: I don't know about y'all, but sometimes if I let myself get too tired, I can't sleep at all. I know its a little weird, but true.

I mowed the yard on Saturday afternoon and we tried to go to bed early that night. TRIED being the key word there. I couldn't fall asleep. I'm not sure for the reason. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that all the sleep that I had gotten in the last 48 hours had been in catnap form, but who really knows. I didn't fall asleep until around 2am. YUCK!

Then Sunday brought on its own challenges. We were tired to say the least, but the boys were not. I decided to clean out the swimming pool and put some fresh water in it to cool it off a bit. This turned into a much bigger job than I imagined and because Left Brain ended up having to help, we missed the night services at church. I can't say that I hated it, because we needed the rest. But we didn't get it.

For supper Sunday night we ate chicken, and apparently my stomach found that offensive. I was up all night VERY sick! YUCK again. If must have been spoiled or something. Food poisoning is what I felt I had. Poor Left Brain had to go to work this morning after having been up seriously ALL weekend!

Boy am I ready for a calm night for the Cossey Crew! And it's shaping up to be just that! YAY!
Goodnight!
