I don't have much time to update,as we have the boys and are trying to get them to sleep. At this point, the thought running through my mind is....WHAT WAS I THINKING???? Two boys at once? OH MY!! We ended up getting Blue Eyes today and we didn't think we would. His orphanage sort of pushed him out the door with us. We thought we were only going for passports....oh well.
We took them to eat pizza at a place that had a jungle gym...neither of them would play in it. Who would have thought? We also took them to the supermarket. That wasn't as bad of experience as I thought. However...as soon as we got home, Blue Eyes peed in his pants and all over the kitchen floor. That was no fun. Needless to say we went and got some pull-ups for night time. Bath time was also interesting. GQ was terrified at first but he came around. Papa took care of bath time while mama cleaned up the mess in the kitchen.
Now we are fighting the endless "go to sleep" battle! It is so tiring!
We were able to catch Cindy and Traci on skype tonight and they got to see them for the first time.
I must help Left Brain with bedtime...good night!
Welcome to motherhood...you're life will never be slow or dull again; however, there is nothing as wonderful as being a Mom. Congrats again to both of you!

oh my. maybe when they get into the routine of being with yall it will get better hope to see yall next week.
ReplyDeleteNikki & Ben,
ReplyDeleteWe told you to get rest while you could for
things truly have changed now! Don't worry be-
cause when you get home grandparents will
boysit & let you all get some rest. Bet Granny
Norma can handle those boys just fine! We
might need to feel sorry for the dogs though.
Those poor babies are wondering where in the
world their Mommie & Daddy have gone & then they bring home two little squirts who will never let them have any peace again. They may
even pull all of their fur out. Just kidding!
They will love them just as much as you do.
I can imagine that it is quite a shock to the system suddenly having two rambunctious boys running around! But they are both at very fun ages. Your nerves will definitly be tested but your hearts will be so blessed every day!!! Especially from two little cuties like them.Hope to see ya soon, lots of love. Jill
ReplyDeleteGreat news and glad to hear it! I'm sure the boys were just so excited, it was hard to get them to sleep. Hopefully once they crash it will be a good sleep and then ready, set, go tomorrow. It will take them a while to get into a routine and that truly won't happen until they get settled in Calloway County. But as the realization settles in that they are finally somewhere they are wanted and with someone who loves them, I hope things really improve. Look forward to seeing you. Love, Kerry and Tracy.
