did someone say shopping?!?!

So sorry that it's been a while. Things have been crazy around here.

We've had crazy storms, sick people, school, kickboxing, grocery shopping, and too many other things to list.


The in-laws are heading to Alabama this weekend, which means the hubs and I don't get our beloved "date night" on Friday. Sad face.

Oh well, they need to spend time with the other grandchildren, so I totally understand. But still......sad face.


I have great news!

The bestie made my day today!

We've been talking about planning a girls overnight shopping trip. Just talking. And it became a reality today! We nailed down two dates and cleared it with the hubs. SO EXCITED!

You see, the reason for my excitement is simple. I've never done this before. I've never spent a night away from the hubs or kiddos, save for the hubs' sparatic business trips now and then. I am a hermit crab. I hate being away from home overnight, but if I must it is always in the company of the hubs and kiddos.

Watch out yall. I'm branching out! I'm gonna do this. And it's gonna be fun!

Two whole days of shopping, eating good food, gabbing with the bestie, and did I mention shopping??!?!

I'm beside myself with excitement.....can you tell?!?!
