So.......happy birthday to Jesus, my aunt Michele, my dad, Tori, my Granny, Erica and many others that I can't remember at this exact moment.
Hope y'all have a good time on your special day.
I CANNOT believe it is already the 16th of December!!! Where have the last few months gone? On one hand I am shocked, but on the other....relieved that it is flying by so fast! I'm ready for some swim suit weather around here! I love snow, but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE sunshine and tanning oil!
I'm feeling a bit pasty looking these days and I refuse to visit the tanning salon. Can we say cancer bed??!?!? I prefer copious amounts of the "real" stuff. Have no fear and stop shaking your finger at me. I know that over-doing it in the "real" sun is just as bad for you as the tanning bed. But I don't over-do it. No sunburns for me....it's uncomfortable anyway. And who wants to deal with all of that peeling afterward? Not me, not me!
I told Left Brain that "all I want for Christmas is a real good tan".
"OOOH, don't you think it's a pretty good plan? All I want for Christmas is a real good tan. All I want for Christmas is a real good tan, take me to the islands, put my feet in the sand. Rockin' to and fro with the rhythm of the ocean, singin' Silent Night with the palm trees a blowin'. OOOOH don't you think it's a pretty good plan? All I want for Christmas is a real good tan.(Sorry I just busted out in song for a moment. Hint, hint, there Left Brain.)
Well if you're thinking 'bout gettin' me a present this year, let me put a bug in your cute little ear. How 'bout two tickets to a tropical shore where we don't have to wear these winter clothes anymore? Instead of turkey we'll have mahi-mahi grillin' and pina coladas in the blender a chillin'.
Well everybody's prayin' for a Christmas of white. Come to think about it that would be alright as long as it's sand and not snow on the ground and everyday our skin gets a little more brown. We'll string some lights in a coconut tree, I'll rub some oil on you and you can rub some on me.
All I want for Christmas is a real good tan. I can see us baby on the beach hand in hand. Rockin' to and fro with the rhythm of the ocean. Baby won't you say you and me will be going'. OOOOH I can almost feel my toes in the sand. All I want for Christmas is a real good tan.
And don't worry baby, we'll celebrate plenty. I'll buy you some shades and a brand new bikini. We won't have to worry about the holiday rush. It'll be you and me falling deeper in love.
OOOH don't you think its' a pretty good plan? All I want for Christmas is a real good tan."
I don't think I'll actually get that one. I'm afraid that not even Santa can help me this time.
Oh well, a gal can dream, right?
Anywho....
We're gearing up for a ultra busy Christmas extravaganza. It will be a week-long event with multiple events in one day. It seems that schedules aren't matching up and no one will be in town at the same time. It goes something like this:
Sunday 19: 2:30pm meal with my grandmother
Friday 24: Supper and gift exchange at my other grandmother's with dad's family
Chinese Auction with LB's aunts and family
Saturday 25: Santa and Christmas with boys at home
Breakfast and gift exchange with LB's grandmother and aunts
Lunch and gifts with my mother
Supper and Chinese Auction with the Cossey's
Sunday 26: Lunch and gift exchange with LB's brother and his wife
Monday 27: Lunch and gift exchange with LB's sister and her family
UGH! Can't you see where a person could get tired of Christmas for just a second?
I'm not complaining. If my only problem is that people love us and want to spend time with us.......gimme a real problem, right? I'm simply stating that it can become overwhelming at times.
So, what are your holiday plans? Does it become cumbersome for you too at times?
Have yourself a merry little Christmas.
Wishing you and your lovely family a happy Christmas, blogfriend!
