Venture River day

Today we decided to take the boys to Venture River. It was mostly for Blue Eyes' 4th Birthday but it was also because GQ starts Kindergarten tomorrow. We applied sunscreen, iced up the cooler, gassed up the swagger wagon....and off we went. First I must mention that the boys woke up at 6am this morning (rather than a usual 8am) because they were so EXCITED! For those of you who aren't familiar with Venture River....it's a huge local water park with fantastic slides, a lazy wavy river, and wave pool. There's also a kiddie area with smaller slides and water spouts everywhere. The boys LOVED IT!! And they are currently BEGGING to go back on Saturday!
We spent most of the day lugging floats up a big hill so that the boys could go down the "big person" slides. The kicker was....they were under four feet tall, so they had to ride in our laps! So much for a relaxing day for mama and papa! I must admit...it was the most fun I've had in a while! :) Here are some photos.....
