In October 2009, Left Brain and I ventured to Ukraine to start our family. We adopted two precious little boys. We are currently wanting to expand our family by 2 more! We're looking into adoption again. Read along, see where our journeys take us.

So, what I didn't tell you last time....

After I got home from lunch with my best friend, I noticed that my sweet baby Belle had peed in the utility room floor.....TWICE!

I decided that night, right before bed, that Belle needed punishment for this or she would keep doing it to let us know when she was mad. So, I waltzed her little hiny out to the dog pen, fed her, and gave her fresh water. She barked the entire night because she wanted back inside. I'm sure that anyone within a mile radius is not happy with us right now. So sorry for that!

She is currently still in the pen, and hasn't been back in the house since. I hate to say this, because everyone that knows me knows that I love my dog almost more than life itself. BUT, now that I have two rambunctious little fellas living with me (that like to play in the floor) I have noticed that my floors stay much tidier with the dog outside!

After our second night "dog free", Left Brain was sure to let me know how much he enjoyed not getting up in the middle of the night to let her out. So, I said all of that to say this.....I think I just might leave her out there for good! I feel so guilty because she has been so loyal and sweet to me over the last 6 years, but it is making our lives MUCH easier to not have to clean up after her or let her outside about 15 times during the night.

Now, on to the kiddos.

Thursday was "Water Day" at Mr. GQ's school. My best friend (whose son is also in class with GQ) and I volunteered to help the teacher in any way we could, so she called in that favor for yesterday. We headed to the school with extra beach towels and sunscreen in tow. We watched from the sidelines as the Kindergarten and First grade classes were pelted with water from a local rescue squad truck. It was hilarious! The kids loved it, but the firemen loved it almost as much. They threatened that teachers and parents were NOT off limits, but at the end of the day, I think they knew better! Thank goodness!

Mrs. Becky was nice enough to let those who volunteered leave school early with their children without it being counted against the students for unexcused absences. How nice that we didn't have to fight all of that traffic! When I told GQ to gather up his things because we were leaving, he misunderstood what was happening and started crying. He thought he was in trouble because he was having to leave. Mrs. Becky explained to him that it was in fact the opposite of trouble....he got to leave early, how lucky! After we walked out the door, and he realized he wasn't in trouble, all was well.

We were able to make it home early and found that Left Brain got home from work early too! We were able to spend the afternoon playing outside before supper, which is unusual since school started.

Today has been uneventful so far....thank goodness! After the week I have had....busted heads, flat tires, and chasing kids around a school....I was ready for a boring day!

Happy Friday All!
