smarties

We are ready for another day of school tomorrow. GQ is so excited to go tomorrow. Blue Eyes, however, isn't ready for him to go. I've been taking some great photos of the boys and I will try to upload some soon. English is coming along so well that I can't even explain it in words. It's amazing how well they are learning. I just expected them to lag behind because of the possible mal-nutrition.....but that isn't so. THey both know their ABCs and GQ recognizes several words. I won't say that he can read....but I think he is REALLY close. He wants to learn so badly. Tonight he brought a book to me (this little Kindergarten book that we got him) and said "Mama, do my letters". He wanted to practice writing his ABCs. He also learned to write his name, his brother's name, Papa's name, and Nikki. This kid is AMAZING! This was all in one afternoon! He's totally got it! The learning bug that is! I just don't think I can possibly give his little brain enough information to absorb. He has now started asking me the English word for everything he sees and then follows that by asking what the Russian word for it is. I think he has lost a bit of it and this kid wants to remember it! He wants to learn TWO languages at once! I wish I could find someone to re-teach him Russian. He is SUPER smart! I want to get him all the information his little mind can absorb!
