Things are finally calming back down after the hectic past two days. Left Brain was admitted to Western Baptist with a heart arythmia (arterial Fibulation). It was a scary time because they couldn't get his heart rate down. The boys and I stayed at home and visited him a few times. BAD IDEA!! They cried uncontrollably because we left Papa at the hospital. Blue Eyes started needing to wear a diaper again during this time and also destroying everything he touched (on purpose). It was horrible to see them go through this. Left Brain is at home now and the boys seem to be adjusting back to normal.
On a lighter note. GQ is doing so well with his English. Every day he comes up with a new phrase to use. He has also mastered his ABC's and writing his name, his brother's name, my name (Nikki) and Left Brain's name. He also can tell you his phone number. I think he is totally ready to go to school. He can communicate with anyone and be mostly understood. Blue Eyes is coming along too. His English isn't as good as GQ's. I think its mostly because he is 3 and hard to understand anyway. Plus, he lacks the intense determination that GQ has. GQ is trying to re-learn his Russian at the same time. He had forgotten a lot of it and is wanting to remember it too. He is constantly asking me the word for something and then asking me to say it in Russian too. He is so smart!
My mother and other relatives have decided that we needed to have a "baby shower" for lack of a better word. This is taking place tomorrow at the Curris Center. It is now being called a "welcome to America" party. I am SO NOT EXCITED about this party. I think mostly because we are all so tired from all of the traveling back and forth for Left Brain. Sunday's are usually really restful for us in between church services...and tomorrow we will be entertaining people instead of resting. Ugh! It has been planned forever and tons of people are excited to meet the boys....so it is a must. I just hope they are in good spirits tomorrow.
I hope you all have a good week next week. Take care and God bless.
