Normal Day

Today started the same as most other days....with a visit to Blue Eyes around 10am. While we were playing outside with him, Oksana went in to see the director of the orphanage to fix the messed up paperwork. We played in the sandbox again all visit long...what's new. Nothing new to tell you about him. He's still saying and repeating English words as we ask him to and sometimes he says them on his own. "Peeeez" is one we hear all of the time when he wants something. He cried and ran after us today when we went to leave. This was new. Awwwww.
Oksana left the orphanage before we did to go to the inspector's office and fix more paperwork there. Left Brain and I walked back to the apartment alone and had lunch there....baked potatoes again. I spent the afternoon on the internet ordering more clothes for the boys on oldnavy.com. That website is addicting...they have the cutest clothes!
We enjoyed all of the comments on yesterdays post! We love to know that you all are out there checking on us. It's a little piece of something from home.
We left the apartment around 2:30pm when Oksana returned from town. We went to Ochacov to turn the corrected paperwork in to the judge. I guess everything was ok because Oksana scheduled her train ticket home tonight. She's leaving at midnight, so everyone keep her in your prayers.
After the courthouse, we went for our visit with GQ. It was an ok day...not the best we've had but definitely not the worst. At first he didn't want to play outside and he was yelling it at us. I guess he thought we would make him or something. We stayed inside and gave him his snack. We worked the puzzle a few times and colored in the coloring book we got him. That lasted for about 45 minutes and then he wanted to go outside. We were outside playing for about 20 minutes and then all of a sudden he wanted to be with his groupa. They were playing outside very close to where we were. He just up and told us bye and started waving to us as he walked toward them. So, we left.
We headed back for Nikolaev for supper on our last night with Oksana. We ate at a restaurant that we hadn't been to so far. It was a Chzec inspired restaurant. They had an English menu but the translation was off. I ordered what said fried potatoes (which in all other restaurants we have been to has been the same as at home) but it ended up being french fries. That was ok, cause I like french fries but it was an odd meal. I also got grilled vegetables, which consisted of tomatoes, zuchini, onions, and eggplant. Left Brain had short ribs and vegetables (which he didn't eat). We are now back at the apartment and Oksana is preparing for her trip home. She seems excited....I would be too!
We are looking forward to some skype sessions with family tonight! We hope you all are having wonderful fall weather like we are here. It has only rained twice since we've been here and it didn't last but a few hours each time. The weather is pleasant during the day...fairly warm but not t-shirt weather. It gets cooler at night, but still warm enough that we sleep with the windows open. Our bed linens are VERY warm and we get hot at night, so that may be part of it. We are looking forward to coming home. We hope all of you are having a great day and have a good night! We will update again tomorrow.
