We've already had one visit with Blue Eyes today and since it isn't raining, we are planning on going back for another visit this afternoon. He was so sweet at our visit today. Such a loving child. Here are some photos from todays visit.

He's gotten into this thing where he likes to sit on the bench beside me and be really still when anyone walks by...pretending that he is a good boy...or maybe it's invisible, who knows the mind of a 3 year old? He tells Left Brain and I to be quiet when he hears someone coming down the hall. We must then sit really still and hide whatever snacks we have. It's so funny. He's not scared or thinking that someone is going to take his snacks. He's just being silly. When they walk past us and out of site...he giggles so hard. It's just some little game he has invented and it is so entertaining to him.

We are back at the apartment having lunch and waiting for Oksana to arrive. I finally took some pictures of the apartment where we are staying. Many of you have asked what it looks like...here are some photos.

We have such a tiny kitchen. It's hard to see an apartment from pictures because I am not a realestate picture taker. Realestate agents can make a dump look like a palace from the pictures. They are good at it!
The washing machine is in the kitchen...and there isn't a dryer. Since it has been raining...it has been 4 days and some of the clothes we washed still aren't dry.
This is the living room and the room where we spend most of our time. This is where the tv is located and where we also have the laptop set up. It is where I update the blog and check emails. And we are sitting on that couch when we skype our friends and family.
This is our bedroom. Everything is very tidy. We are pleased because it is much nicer than some things we have seen. However....you cannot judge apartments by the outside of the building. This is the outsie of our apartment building.

We have yet to decide what will happen for the rest of the day. It is our off day with the visits to Max. We won't be seeing him today. It's hard for me to visit Miles twice in one day, knowing that Max only gets a visit every other day. For that reason, we may not go for another visit with Miles.
We're looking forward to eating something good for dinner...well, something other than pizza. We may get out of the apartment and walk around a bit. The weather is much warmer today than it was yesterday. That's what would happen to me as soon as I broke down and bought a coat. Oh well. I'm glad to not need it!
We hope everyone is doing well and can't wait for our nightly skype sessions!
Since I posted this earlier today a few things have happened...we did not go for another visit with Miles. Oksana didn't return until later tonight so we had to walk to eat pizza again! At least it was the last time! Oksana is now back with us and had a wonderful trip home to spend time with her family. She's going with us to visit Max tomorrow, so maybe nothing will happen again like what happened the last visit.
We did get a chance to skype with Cindy, Traci, and Ginger. We also got a phone call from Danny.
We are now going to teach Oksana how to play Rummikub. We enjoy that game and we brought it with us.
Good night everyone!
That's the same game I played with a little 2+ year old at church yesterday. Who knows the fascination. I can't understand a lot of her language but I guess the whole world understands sh-h-h! The apartment is really much nicer than I had expected. Glad you are feeling better today! Friday is only a few days away now, then Monday & home soon! Thank you, Lord!

ReplyDeleteNikki & Ben,
ReplyDeleteThat apartment is great compaired to what
we were afraid you would have to stay in & just
think how large & grand your house is going to
be when you get home. You may even get lost in
it now. You will really appreciate it more than
you thought possible. Home sweet home!
Love, MeMe & Peeps
