In October 2009, Left Brain and I ventured to Ukraine to start our family. We adopted two precious little boys. We are currently wanting to expand our family by 2 more! We're looking into adoption again. Read along, see where our journeys take us.

Fantastic!

Today was absolutely a wonderful day all together! It went wonderful with Blue Eyes. We played and laughed and he said new English words. He loves to play in the sandbox and we got him to say sand. He kept saying it over and over and over. It was sweet. We drove around and visited both inspectors offices again today. We also mailed our paperwork to Kiev. Galya will help it go fast in Kiev. She has connections there. Our visit with GQ was wonderful today. He repeated English words after us without hesitation. We worked a puzzle, blew bubbles, and played hide and seek. He also let us call him GQ and responded to it! YAY! Our prayers are working! We kinda told him that GQ was English for Sasha. We also told him that mama and papa liked the name GQ. He didn't fight it after that. When we went to leave he raised his arms in the air for me to pick him up. He usually doesn't care much for me, but today when I picked him up he kissed me several times. I desperately needed that. It was fantastic. We ate at the place called the "potato house" again. Left Brain loves the ribs there. I ate potatoes again. Good thing I love potatoes because that is all I have been eating here.
Oh, I forgot to mention that we visited the Black Sea yesterday. The sand looked like sand in Florida. The air was so salty smelling...it was great. We had no idea that the sea was so close to GQ's orphanage. It was only about a five minute drive.
We really don't have much to say today...everything was great. We are just waiting for our court date.
We just talked to Traci for about an hour and a half on skype. It is great to talk and see someone at the same time. Anyone wanting to see us on skype can find our account by contacting Left Brain's mother. You can catch us best around 2pm in the US.
We're so happy that things are looking up.
Oh yeah, we also went shopping for clothes for the boys today. We had GQ try on his outfit today at our visit and it fit great! We had to roll up the pant legs because they were a little long. He looked so cute in the clothes we got him. We will try Blue Eyes' clothes on him in the morning to make sure they fit. We have two outfits for him because we were more sure about his sizes.
We will post more tomorrow! Have a good day!

  2. Miles is wearing 2T-3T and Max is 4-5T. Miles has a little gut so he should have no trouble holding up his pants. We have not tried the clothes that we bought on Miles yet but Max's fit very good. He looked good in something besides that darn mickey mouse sweater. It is cute, but it is getting old. He has worn it every day since the day we met him. They did put a new set of stockings on him two days ago but everything else is the same. Miles gets a new outfit about every other day maybe because he is so dirty. Who knows with that kid.
