In October 2009, Left Brain and I ventured to Ukraine to start our family. We adopted two precious little boys. We are currently wanting to expand our family by 2 more! We're looking into adoption again. Read along, see where our journeys take us.

Another Good One!

Today was another great day! We awoke around 9am as always and went to visit Blue Eyes from around 10-11:30am. I'm still having to take Ambien each night to be able to sleep. I still haven't adjusted to the time difference. Left Brain adjusted right away and never had trouble sleeping. Needless to say....my nights are plenty restfull thanks to the makers of Ambien. It's the best sleep I've ever had. Blue Eyes was full of smiles today! He always is. We played mostly in the sandbox again (we've got to get one of those at our house!). He loves to take Left Brain's hand and pat and stroke the sand saying, "sand, sand, sand". He says it over and over and over. It actually sounds like sea-and. It's absolutely precious. He also loves apples and always asks,"apple?"
We went to two open markets in between our visits with the boys. We tried Blue Eyes' clothes on him today and they fit great, so we know what sizes to buy him. We bought both boys a coat, some beanie hats, underwear, socks, and a few toys for the airplane home.
Our visit with GQ started off rough today but that didn't last long. He was kind of throwing a fit today and we think it is because they are doing some renovations on a room close to their bedroom. We think they may have not had a good nap because of the noise. Not having the right amount of sleep makes me grumpy too. As he was throwing his fit, Left Brain grabbed him and started rocking him in his lap like a baby. Left Brain kept saying poor baby GQ in a soothing voice....and that took care of it. The fit throwing was over after that. He kept asking for Left Brain to rock him again. The tighter that LB held him, the more GQ relaxed. Maybe it was from lack of nurturing during his baby and toddler years...who knows. All I care is that it worked like a charm. After that we played with bubbles, and put together a puzzle. He gave us plenty more hugs and kisses again today. It was great. Also, when I took out the photos and started looking at them on my own (cause that is how we have to do anything with him...act like we are doing it for us and he will join in) he walked over to look at them with me. He kept saying, "they aren't mine" in reference to the family in the photos. I told him that they were mine and he became more interested asking each of their names and what they would be to him. Like I pointed to Left Brain's mother's picture and said this is MY Bebe. He asked...Babushka? Which is Russian for grandmother. I said yes....and he smiled really big. We went through the whole album like this. It was sweet to see him smile like that and he even repeated several of the names after me.....Ginger, you will be happy to know that Gingie was one of those that he repeated! And Traci was too! (I know I am getting a grin or two out of that update!)
We had a good day overall. We ate pizza for supper again but at a new place. The pizza was better than what we had before....not as sweet. We ate so much that we were miserable....we definately aren't going to loose much weight on this trip....I'm relieved!
We've been able to talk to some family through skype....that has been comforting. We just got off of a call with Left Brain's mother and it was so nice to be able to see her while we talked. I think they are taking a trip to Branson this weekend (the gals) so Left Brain and I will be stuck talking to his father all weekend...hahahaha. Just kidding.
Well, I guess it's time for bed and I will update more tomorrow. Goodnight everyone!

Sounds Great!! I like the posted pictures. You know it is amazing what a hug can do isn't it. Max when he grows older will realize that the love of God gives you hugs like Mama & Papa does. Praying for you!
