We rounded out February with a blizzard, or two. For the first round of storms we were out of school for two weeks. We ended up with 14 inches of snow. Here in Kentucky, that's a blizzard! After the big overnight snow, the boys were able to get outside for two days and play their little hearts out. They threw snowballs at poor Sadie (who refused to sleep in the garage, crazy dog) and did tons of sledding. They would come in only to eat and thaw out and then immediately head back out into the white abyss. After two days the temperatures bottomed out to well below zero with crazy wind chill totals. I put a stop to the playing outside, it was just tooo dang cold. By the end of the two weeks we were thinking up ways to murder one another without getting caught. It was bad, y'all! I love spending time with my kids but I prefer to do it during much warmer temperatures when we can play in the pool! Am I right?!?!
I almost forgot to tell you that when they finally went back to school, it was only for three days....then another blizzard hit and dumped 18 inches of snow!! They were thankfully only out for the rest of that week as the temperatures reached the 60s and melted everything away. Mother Nature needs to be on bipolar meds!
