shocking revelation

So, I don't have a picture for this but I figured y'all could deal for once. Funny story...
I was getting the towels out of the dryer yesterday morning and got shocked by what I thought was a static charge. I yelped a bit and reached in for another towel to fold.  I got shocked again and the second time really hurt and kind of tingled all the way up my elbow...so I yelped louder.  LB hears all of this and started to chuckle at how big of sissy I've become to whine over a lil static shock....so here he comes into the laundry room. He reached in to get the towels out for me all while laughing and gets shocked.  He says, "OH CRAP! THAT'S NOT STATIC!!" Turns out something in the dryer was shorting out and causing ELECTRIC shock! No wonder my arm was numb up to my elbow for half the day! ha ha!
We've been talking about getting a new washing machine for a while because ours was an older style that just didn't spin very much water out of the clothes, which caused our older dryer to have to complete 3-4 cycles of 90 minutes each just to dry a load of towels.  We stayed far behind on laundry because of this! So since the shock incident kind of sent that need over the edge... a shopping we did go and I picked out and ordered a new set! It is top load because I don't like the front loads, even though they come in fantastic colors! It doesn't have an agitator and it's controls are all electronic...but the BEST part is that the door of the washer won't slam...it has the slow motion closing action thingy! How great is that! Now I just have to wait until March first!
