In October 2009, Left Brain and I ventured to Ukraine to start our family. We adopted two precious little boys. We are currently wanting to expand our family by 2 more! We're looking into adoption again. Read along, see where our journeys take us.

Leonard

The boys decided to participate in the Elf theory this year.  I'm not sure what sparked this interest.  I have made sure not to foster this trend at our house because frankly, this little Elf booger scares the crap out of me! The things we do for our kids....right?!?!

So as the story goes, you go and adopt your elf from the store, you sit him on the shelf, name him, read the book, and then write his name in the book...all of this activates his magical powers.  After you activate his powers you cannot touch him or he loses his powers.

His powers enable him to fly back to the North Pole each night while the children are sleeping and report to Santa on the events of the day.  This helps Santa decide whether the boys should be on the naughty or nice list.  Then the elf quickly flies back before the children awake....but you won't find him in the same spot!  You must look for him to find him the next morning.  And our elf likes to play while the children are at school too!

We started out by sitting our elf, Leonard (don't ask!), in the window of their room so that he could watch over the boys.

Keep checking back to see what he gets into.....
