G Daddy is the man that my mother has dated since I was five years old. He's been around for basically my whole life. I consider him my step-dad even though they've never actually married. He's a great man. Some would consider him a hard man. He's worked hard for everything he has. He's been a farmer his whole life and has never been married. He's pretty set in his ways to say the least. But he's always treated me like I was his own, and different than the rest. I've always seen his softer side, one that most never think has existed.
G Daddy has worn glasses as long as I've known him. And he's always self prescribed at the counter at Wal-Mart. He usually buys about ten pair at a time and stashes them in different locations. There will be a few pair scattered around his house, in all vehicles, in the office....just anywhere really. Usually they are the standard issue, gold rim, old man kind. He has several people that work for him and they've been known to borrow a pair of glasses from a vehicle if need be. No big deal really, but G Daddy got tired of not being able to find any of them. So he decided to buy the pair in this picture. He bought them because they were wild in color and he would be able to tell if his workers were wearing HIS glasses or their own. Or so he told me when I confronted him about it. Hee hee. I assured him that they were women's glasses but he still didn't believe me. I've laughed a long time over this, and you would too if you knew G Daddy.
