Our Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day has never been a big holiday at our house...that being said, I hope yall had a wonderful day. Ours didn't go so smoothly.

My flat iron decided to go caput tonight and since Left Brain is the fixer of all things around here, he began the fix-it process.

In case you were wondering...this is what these things look like on the inside, and after fixing three of them, Left Brain is pretty good at it now.















And as if that wasn't enough, our storm door broke. It broke as Left Brain headed out to his truck to get his meter to check my flat iron. And by broke I mean...BROKE! The lock stuck. And because of the way it messed up, Left Brain couldn't even get to the hinges to take the door off. So...he had to stop working on my flat iron to take the glass out to get to the door knob part of the door from the side. And because he was so put out with the series of events, he just took it all out. He put the doorknob back on but the storm door is now just a swinging door basically. At least we still have a lock on the front door. Aaah! Thank goodness that was in the plans to change during our renovation!
