In October 2009, Left Brain and I ventured to Ukraine to start our family. We adopted two precious little boys. We are currently wanting to expand our family by 2 more! We're looking into adoption again. Read along, see where our journeys take us.

summertime and the livin' is easy

Today is our first day to be at home and truly rest after our vacation.

The weekend was spent playing catchup.

Monday started with a bang. I mowed the yard that morning and then traveled with a friend that afternoon, finishing with Wal-Mart that night.

While I was away, hubs was fairly productive. He was able to weed-eat, break the garden, break the area for our redneck swimming pool, and erect the pool. None of which are small tasks.

So, today the hubs went back to work. The boys are officially on summer break, so we treated it
as such. We slept in and after lunch put on swim suits and headed outside for the rest of the day. Plenty of sunscreen, cause it seems we brought the Florida weather back to Western KY with us. There's no cool ocean breeze to accompany it. Bummer.

Here are some photos of the day. All four of our children play really well together.

Belle lets Sadie follow her everywhere.

And GQ is kind enough to keep them both entertained with an endless game of fetch.

The boys kept the girls nice and cool throughout the day.

And I caught this cool picture when it was my turn with the water hose.

A lil' trampoline fun. If y'all only knew how incredibly hard it was last summer for us to even get them to look at that trampoline. Now they're little dare devils on it.

She's getting so big all of a sudden.

About 30 minutes ago, Sadie got the right idea. She found a shady spot and started snoozing. So, we all took a cue from her and came inside for a nap. The sun and heat will just drain you if you let it.
