In October 2009, Left Brain and I ventured to Ukraine to start our family. We adopted two precious little boys. We are currently wanting to expand our family by 2 more! We're looking into adoption again. Read along, see where our journeys take us.

Sadie Jane

Meet our newest addition, Sadie Jane. We picked her up today. She's full-blooded Labrador with papers and she's 6 weeks old.

Recent developments at our house have made me realize that our sweet Belle is NOT an inside dog. I think our children stress her out to the point that she has multiple accidents in the house. When she's outside this is not a problem, thus the solution is to let her be outside permanently.

This morning I was talking to Left Brain and I said,

"I want a puppy. I'm an inside dog kinda gal, so we need a puppy that we can train to stay inside with us. Surely we won't end up with another dog with IBS and I can work with a puppy to get it to mind like Belle does."

To which he replies...."We need a puppy like you need a hole in your head." or something to that effect.

And we dropped it.

He leaves the house with the boys to take them to Wal-Mart to spend some of their money and is gone about an hour before I get a phone call. It goes something like this...

LB: "I can't believe I'm saying this but there are registered Lab puppies up here in the parking lot for a decent price, been wormed, shots, and the photos of the parents look good. They have two chocolate females, want one?"

Me: after picking my jaw up off of the floor...."Of course, I'll be right there with the money but don't let them get rid of either girl cause I wanna pick."

I get to town as fast as humanly possible. Bestie, you understand how that must have been. And there she was. Both females looked exactly the same, except sweet lil' Sadie had a small scar on her head from her mama picking her up. So, I naturally chose her.

And the rest is history.

I'm hooked.

Help me now.

This puppy breath is killing me.

Oh, and I should tell you that Left Brain is excited because....well, in his words..."now that's the widest head I've ever seen on a puppy."

Go figure.
