So have I mentioned that we eat A LOT of fruit? Well, we do.
I think I have mentioned before how lucky we are that our children eat well. This is a perfect example. All of the fruit in this photo, including the background, will be GONE in a matter of 2-3 days. Seriously. This bowl of grapes won't last a day and a half.
The kids don't just eat fruit, they also go for their veggies. Green beans, blackeyed peas, broccoli, carrots, and potatoes are also a huge hit at our house.
However.....it's not just our two cotton-headed ninny muggins. The hubs would rather sit down in front of the tv with that bowl of grapes than a bag of chips.
I'M SO NOT COMPLAINING HERE!
But this gets insanely expensive. Especially when you factor in the strawberries, blackberries, and pineapple that you don't see in this photo. Twice a week. Craziness.
I said all of that to say this.....
They seem to ALL be picky about one thing...
If those grapes don't get pulled off, washed, and put in the fridge in a cute bowl like this.....
Then they will undoubtedly rot in the refrigerator.
Now in all fairness, they will still eat them, but DEFINITELY not as fast.
Usually I complain about having to do this, about how spoiled they have become. But this time I have to give props to the hubs. He did it this time. Way to go hubs. Way to step in there and help a gal out.
Seriously.....this is all I have to complain about.......gimme a real problem, right?!?!
I know how blessed I am.
Y'all have a great afternoon!
when i was a kid i loved grapes but i didn't like the skin. i tried to get my mom to peel them for me, and of course she wouldn't. but one day my mom was out and i was with my dad, and i somehow convinced him to peel me some grapes. i've never heard the end of it!
