This photo is from Easter! Sorry it has been so long since I have sent an update. The boys are continuing to do VERY well. They are keeping us extremely busy these days. Since the weather was so warm in April, we mostly stayed outside during the day. We got the boys a "Gator" power-wheel and they love to ride that. We also got them a trampoline. GQ loves to jump on it as long as someone is on there with him holding his hands. Blue Eyes is still fairly scared of it and only wants to be on it with Mama. He likes me to hold him on my hip and jump. Let me tell you, that gets tiring VERY QUICKLY!
We got GQ registered for Kindergarten and it looks like Blue Eyes was accepted to Pre-School. I don't know what I will do with my time when August gets here. I'll be a little sad I am afraid. Oh well! It's part of being a mommy, right?!?!
GQ's birthday is a week from today! On Mother's Day! How fitting...he's a Mama's boy! It will be the first birthday he has ever celebrated....so he doesn't understand what it is when we try to explain it to him. I'm sure it won't take long for him to fully grasp the concept! He will be turning 6! WOW! I have a 6 year old son! How time flies!
We have been home for 6 months now! And recently in the news a woman sent a child back to Russia that she had for 6 months. I cannot even describe to you how that makes me feel. It brings up a whole lot of emotions that I don't know how to put into words. Let's just simply say...I don't like it nor do I agree with her being able to do that and not be punished by law.
Now...I'm off of my soap box...back to the being home for 6 months thing.... The boys speak wonderful English! Almost anyone can understand most of what they say, especially GQ. They are coming up with phrases and new things everyday that still amaze me. However, there are some things that I hope don't change about their language. The fact that they still call us Mama and Papa....I LOVE!!!!! They also call my dad "dadooshka", which is Russian for grandfather. I think that is sweet too! I also love how everything that GQ says in English sounds as if he were Italian. He emphasizes the wrong syllables....and it is absolutely PRECIOUS! I hope he keeps some of his accent.
For now, that is all I can think of....but start checking regularly again because we acquired high speed internet at our house and I can now update when the boys go to bed. YAY!!!
Please be in prayer for our family because I feel the tug on my heart for two little girls that are somewhere out there needing a home. I don't feel like we are finished adding to our family.
